Resolved Question: questions about Newport beach, CA.?

I will go to Newport Beach, CA by myself on Jan 11 for a few days. I am actually a college student in TX. It's my first time to go there. I will arrive at the airport-SNA. I will stay in the hotel-Little Inn by Bay, which is just right next to the newport beach. I just can't wait for visiting the ocean, since there is no such scene in TX. But I am not gonna rent a car, since I don't have a driver license. I am not a rich girl, I just spent $550 on a roundtrip ticket and 4 nights hotel room. So I am just simply a tourist.
